CONSULTATION:  When you call for an initial consultation, you  may be ready to schedule an appointment or you may be anticipating future needs. I am here to answer your questions and provide support and advice at any stage in your decision making process.  There is no charge for consultations.  I am also availabe for in-home consultation prior to the euthanasia appointment
for an additional fee.

EUTHANASIA:  A pre-sedative is always given prior to the euthanasia to ensure that your pet is as relaxed and comfortable as possible.  They will be in a light sleep when the euthanasia injection is given to ensure the smoothest possible passing.

MEMORIALS:  Clay pawprint or other keepsake options are available through Gaurdian Animal Aftercare.

GRIEF SUPPORT:  For those who choose individual cremation, free grief counseling is available through Guardian Animal Aftercare with Dr. Kathleen Ayle. Here is an additional list of Pet Bereavement Counselors who provide individual and group support.

AFTER CARE
There are several options available when considering aftercare. If you are interested in cremation you may choose from the following:

• COMMUNAL:  Your pet will be transported to Guardian Animal Aftercare for cremation along with other pets.  These ashes will then be scattered at sea by the non- profit group Ocean Defenders. This is a nice, affordable option for those who do not wish to receive their pet’s ashes back.
  
  
• INDIVIDUAL:  You pet is transported to Guardian where they will be cremated individually. The ashes will be returned to you in a cedar urn with an engraved name plaque.  You may choose to have the ashes delivered to your veterinarian’s office or mailed directly to your home for a small fee.  Alternately, some people may choose to pick up the ashes themselves at the crematorium office. • PRIVATE:  This is Guardian’s premium service, available for owners who might wish to be present for the cremation For more information go to Guardian Animal Aftercare.
  
  
• BURIAL:  If you are interested in a traditional burial at a pet cemetery, I can help you with these arrangements as well.  There are two beautiful cemeteries in the area that provide full service options.
